Thanks to your support and generosity throughout 2014, Jimbo’s Squad experienced another successful year and continued to provide comfort to patients at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Highlights of our accomplishments in 2014 include:
- Raising more than $39,000 to benefit patients and patient care projects at Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC)
- Hosting the 2nd “Operation Jimbo Claus” during which Troops met with patients and provided them with fleece performance sweatshirts and beanie caps to stay warm during treatments. These items were sincerely appreciated and it was great to see so many smiles during the holiday season.
- Receiving a generous grant from Phillies Charities Inc. to support our mission. We are extremely proud to have been selected and among the many honorable groups awarded similar grants from the Philadelphia Phillies organization. A special thanks goes out to our friends at the Phillies for making it possible!
2014 Broad Street Run
Lace up those sneakers (snow boots?) and get ready to run! Registration for this year’s Philadelphia Broad Street Run is currently OPEN. Once again this year, race entry will be determined by a lottery system. As a result, we encourage you to submit your name though the online registration website (below) and if selected in the lottery, you will then be able to register for the run. Registration will close on February 13, 2014 at 11:59 PM.
As in previous years, we are coordinating with Broad Street Run Officials in order to assist those who do not gain admission to the race through the lottery so that we can maximize our running Squad!
To ensure we are keeping an accurate count of those running with the Squad (and to make sure you get your cool running tshirt!), please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know if:
You are running with the Squad and were able to register through the lottery system
You want to run but did not get in through the online registration process
